A Parishes which is planning to enter into a building contract needs to provide the Anglican Church Property Trust with a certificate from a lawyer that the terms of the building contract are aceptable.
We provide the appropriate certificates. However, parishes are reminded that they should obtain advice on the form of the building contract at an early stage of the project. Parishes who leave the certificate until the last minute often find that the project is delayed while amendments to the contract are negotiated.
