Warwick has been in practice for 25 years, and whilst operating a broad but commercially focused practice, has particular experience in property matters and commercial litigation.

His property work has included subdivisions and property development, commercial and retail leasing and both commercial and residential sales and purchases. In the area of commercial leasing, Warwick is a regular presenter of seminars to the legal profession.

Property Development work includes advising regarding the negotiation, acquisition, structuring, construction and sale of property developments of all types from residential duplexes to multi-storey mixed-use developments.

Warwick is an experienced litigator and where disputes could not otherwise be resolved, has appeared in most Courts and Tribunals, often as advocate, including the High Court of Australia, Federal Court and Federal Magistrates Court, Supreme Court of NSW, Land & Environment Court, District and Local Courts, and other Tribunals (such as the Administrative Decisions Tribunal).

Areas of the law in which he has been involved in litigation include:

• Intellectual Property (Patents, Internet Copyright)
• Partnership disputes
• Lease disputes (Commercial and retail, Relief against Forfeiture)
• Business disputes (Trade Practices Act, Breach of Confidence)
• Disputes regarding the Administration of Trusts
• Estate disputes
• Obtaining urgent injunctive relief

He has been a Costs Assessor of the Supreme Court of NSW.

Warwick is the Chairperson of the national Legal Reference Committee and is the national Convenor of Appeal Panels for the Uniting Church in Australia, and was formerly legal adviser to the Committee for Discipline for the NSW Synod of the Uniting Church, and has previously been a member of the NSW and ACT Property Trust of the Uniting Church.
