Moving into a retirement village can be a worrying experience. When you start looking at a village, the operator is required to give you the plans of the village and the unit, the financial statements and accounts for the village, the form of the retirement village contract that you would be required to enter into, the village rules, a disclosure statement and, in certain cases, the development consent for the village. That will keep you occupied for a little while.
